Meal Plans Options
Patriot Dining offers meal plans designed for resident students, commuter students, faculty, staff, student athletes, and summer students. Plans provide access to The Met, Dining Dollars for on-campus dining purchases, and select plans include Tyler Bucks and meal equivalency options.
*Applicable sales tax of 8.25% will be added to the published meal plan prices.
Resident Meal Plans
These plans are designed for students living on campus. Meal swipes are used at The Met, located on the first floor of the University Center.

This plan is designed for off-campus students who want dining flexibility without a full resident meal plan.

*Block 30 and Block 50 plans can only be added with the purchase of a meal plan.
Faculty/Staff Meal Plan
Faculty and Staff Meal Plan Eligibility: Faculty and Staff Meal Plans are available to eligible faculty and staff members. Student employees are not eligible to purchase these plans.

Bottomless Cup
The Bottomless Cup provides unlimited refills on fountain drinks and coffee throughout participating campus dining locations. It is included with the Patriot Premium Plan, Pride Plan, and Star Plan. It may also be available for individual purchase.

Meal Plan Requirements
Students who live in on-campus housing are required to purchase a meal plan. Ornelas Hall residents may choose from the Patriot Premium Plan, Pride Plan, or Star Plan. The Star Plan is the default plan for Ornelas Hall residents.
Students living in university apartments, including Victory Village, Patriot Village, University Pines, or Liberty Landing, may choose from the Patriot Premium Plan, Pride Plan, Star Plan, Orange Plan, or Blue Plan. The Blue Plan is the default plan for university apartment residents.
Meal plan changes must be completed before the 10th day of class by emailing Housing and Residence Life at housing@uttyler.edu.

Questions Regarding Meal Plan?
How do I sign up for a meal plan?
Meal plans are assigned or selected based on UT Tyler housing and student account processes. Students should follow the instructions provided by Housing and Residence Life or contact housing@uttyler.edu for meal plan changes.
How can I change my current meal plan?
Students may request a meal plan to change by emailing housing@uttyler.edu before the 10th day of class or by following the current UT Tyler Housing and Residence Life process.
How do meal plans work?
Paid meal plans are automatically loaded onto resident student accounts prior to the start of the semester based on housing assignments. Ornelas Hall residents are required to select from the top three resident meal plans. Apartment residents may choose the assigned apartment plan or select from available upgraded meal plan options
How do I pay for a meal plan?
The cost of a meal plan is added to a student’s account. Students can access current billing information through myUTTyler. Questions about billing or payment can be directed to the UT Tyler Cashiers Office at 903-566-7180 or cashiers@uttyler.edu.
Am I required to purchase a meal plan?
Students who live in on-campus housing are required to purchase a meal plan. Off-campus students are not required to purchase a meal plan but may choose from available commuter or voluntary meal plan options
Where can meal swipes be used?
Meal swipes are used at The Met, located on the first floor of the University Center.
What are Dining Dollars?
Dining Dollars are funds included with select meal plans that can be used at participating in on-campus dining and retail locations. Dining Dollars provide added flexibility for retail dining, beverages, snacks, and grab-and-go options.
Do Dining Dollars roll over?
Dining Dollars do not roll over from semester to semester. Students are encouraged to use all Dining Dollars before the end of each semester.
